Language Version: post in English

aidsschleife.jpgToday is World AIDS Day. I was really impressed to read that there was still discrimination against HIV positive employees in the workplace all over the world. According to a recent survey conducted in the UK it was revealed that

more than two-thirds of white and 84% of non-white gay men living with HIV did not feel able to tell their employers about their condition.

Of course, the HIV infection is very often associated with the Gay community in general and with countries like Africa, India or Asia. However, in France, for example, the number of HIV-positive people is increasing, it includes mainly heterosexuals and the number is the highest in the regions of Ile de France (Paris) and PACA (Provence-Alpes and Côte d’Azur).

Everybody is exposed to the disease, especially when acting carelessly. So protect yourself and others, take care and do not harass those who carry the virus. Harassment is pointless.

Have fun!

For my French readers: there are two Podcasts (dating from yesterday) containing discussions on the subject with Brigitte Lahaie and others.
