Two weeks ago, I found a very interesting job board link list for India on Jim Stroud’s fabulous blog (who, by the way, has launched this week a new project for candidates - great stuff!). With his permission, I have re-posted most of the links here and have added, as usual, my comments.
Posting job ads, as Jim puts it, “on (at least) one of these job boards for good success” may be an idea. Being consulted which ones to use, appears even more fruitful to me
I have also inserted the links into my job board links section.
- Naukri (market leader): well, that’s the market leader. Their site design is a bit unclear, but I have seen worse as you will see when reading on. They are part of The Network. Recommendable
- TimesJobs: looks good despite the hundreds of animated buttons, which are common on Asian-Pacific (job) sites. They have more than 100 000 jobs online. Recommendable
- Monster India: yeah, Monster is everywhere. They only have 49 500 jobs online. Not so successful?
- ClickJobs: looks good, nice layout, 27 000 jobs online, which is not a lot. They make a serious and professional impression. Use it? Why not.
- Recruit.net: job search engine, about 175 000 jobs online. If you really want to go for it… I wouldn’t
- Careerjet India: job search engine, the Indian version of the British careerjet group, almost 13 million jobs online. Not bad
- Rediff.com: this one’s a good laugh! It’s a job search engine that mainly draws its vacancies from Naukri, Monster, TimesJobs and Clickjobs. This is clearly indicated in the HTML title tag of the page as soon as you click on the link “More” in the Jobs by Category section. At least this information reveals the big players. Thanks for that!
- Bixee.com: job search engine, funny logo, belongs to the Indian Social Network platform ibibo. Don’t.
- Career Khazana: unclear and overloaded side structure, the highlighted Top 20 jobs section is not visible at first sight. In terms of usability, this site is not user-friendly. I wouldn’t stay there to look for a job. No.
- IndianJobSite: another good laugh, please have a look at it yourself.
- Placement India: this portal emphasizes the resume search. It it less of a job board. The crazy thing about this one is that recruiters can specify gender preferences for applicants… Are there no diversity laws in India?
- Jobs Bazaar India: they also put “naukri” in their title tag, right on the homepage. Isn’t that forbidden?
- Jobs Bank: specialised in IT jobs
- Bharat Careers: owned by a webhosting company (click on the link About us), the design reminds me of indianjobsite.com. No way.
- Jobs DB India: jobsdb.com is a recruitment network for the Asian and Pacific region. I have worked with them for other countries and the results were satisfying. Recommendable.
